Residents from across Eglinton Avenue, led by MPP Mike Colle and a number of MPPs and City Councillors who represent the Eglinton area, will be walking from Kennedy Station in Scarborough all the way to Weston Road, in support of the Revitalization of Eglinton Avenue and the new Eglinton Crosstown LRT.
"Let's plan the future of Eglinton above ground as the transit line is being built underground," said Colle.
Residents from communities along Eglinton will join in the walk in support of creating a neighbourhood-friendly vision for Eglinton that will be sustainable, and an attractive place to live, shop, walk, drive, cycle, and where future development supports local shopping.
Walk details are included below with approximate times. The walk will start at 12 noon in the east and end at approximately 6:00 p.m. in the west.
Residents, local business leaders, local MPPs and Councillors will join MPP Colle along the way, and the Mount Dennis Community Association will hold a celebratory BBQ for the walkers at 6:00 p.m.
