Celebrating Black History Month in Eglinton-Lawrence

On Wednesday, February 23, 2011, I hosted a Black History Month Celebration called "The Untold Story of the Builders of the Panama Canal".

A special thank you to the Honourable Margaret Best, Minister of Health Promotion and Sport, who attended our event and spent the evening with residents of Eglinton-Lawrence, who came out in full force to hear the untold story, enjoy great music, delicious food, and wonderful company.

It was a tremendous night, filled with music from Miss Letna Rowe, as Miss Lou, and Glenn Ricketts. Wonderful soup by Mike Nurse, and the best patties from Randy's Patties on Eglinton.

Thank you to everyone who attended and assisted with this event.
